MICHELE FITZPATRICK Very clear instructions and well laid out pattern booklet. The video that goes with the pattern is very good and easy to follow. Heather Townsend I’ve made two pairs of these trousers. A light summer pair of trousers and a heavier winter version with corduroy. So easy to make and highly recommend this pattern. Janet Ford A lovely pattern and it gave a welcome opportunity to have a go at making something with a more challenging fabric! I started with the Florence blouse as a test of the pattern sizing and not generally being someone who would choose a raglan sleeve. The thought of attempting shirring was also at first daunting for me!
The combination of Donna’s written instructions and especially the comprehensive video tutorial made the process very enjoyable and the links to sections of the video meant it was easy to pick up in bite size chunks. My machine didn’t accept the shirring bobbin at the first few attempts but Donna’s video advice to search for a machine-related guide for this soon meant I had successfully worked out what I needed to do and, for a first attempt at shirring, I am very pleased!
The blouse is beautiful and so comfy to wear - like a cloud! The darted and generous sleeves make the raglan a flattering fit and the V neck is a beautiful fit. The guidance for binding a delicate fabric neckline ensure another skill learned and I am now ready to choose and sew my next Size:Me pattern! I have a couple of questions for Donna but as I am attending her French Sewing Retreat in a few weeks, I look forward to asking her there and really ensuring I consolidate my learning! Alison This sewing retreat is exactly what it says on the tin, you get an amazing space to enjoy some calm relaxing sewing, as well as having a laugh with some amazing like minded people.
The area is beautiful and the afternoon tea is also a wonderful break up of the sewing to give you an extra treat.
The hosts Donna and Richard are amazing throughout, providing delicious food, excellent help and tutorials, driving around for all your needs and going above and beyond with whatever you need.
Our flight home was cancelled and Donna was straight on the phone trying to help us out!
Confolens is very picturesque and there are lovely places to visit or even just to have a picnic by the river. I would definitely recommend and hope to attend next year if possible Sorry, no reviews match your current selections5 star 82% 4 star 12% 3 star 3% 2 star 1% 1 star 2%

I went on the Sewing Retreat earlier this year, booked again for next year on my return – it is that good.
I have made two pairs of trousers from this pattern now and I love it. The pocket detail is very stylish and they are wonderfully swishy trousers. I expect to be making another pair soon.
lovely pattern
Absolutely amazing, fantastic tutorial video, and love the fit of the jumpsuit xx
What an amazing pattern! I attempted a trial version due to me being a very non-standard shape for a jumpsuit and having decided this would be a great pattern to test myself at Donna’s next sewing retreat.
I’m short and typically different sizes top and bottom but this has to be the best pattern to achieve a ‘combination fit’ ever! I trusted the process and sewed along with Donna, having chosen the best (separate) size matches for both bodice and trousers. My only alterations were shortenings and easy to make. It was like a big ‘reveal’ as I was really not sure how it was going to fit until the end! I used the cheapest viscose from my stash to just have a go and ended up with the most comfortable and wearable jumpsuit ever! I can’t wait now to sew a linen cropped version in a couple of weeks in France with Donna!

This is such a great pattern, I shortened the bodice and lengthened the legs according to the pattern’s instructions, and the fit is perfect – such a rarity! The Youtube sew-along tutorial was brilliant too. Thanks so much. I’m already planning to make another one. 🙂
