I bought the pdf version of this pattern and got an A0 print version. I found the combination of video and printed instructions were really useful and even though I’ve been sewing for many years, there were some fantastic tips which I’ll use in my future sewing
I’ve used a quilt cover to create my dress and I love the comfortable style of the Vienne dress. Although it looks a complicated design, the way you can play and rewind the video helps you build up the confidence to make this dress. It has pockets which all dresses should. I’m planning to create another version as well with different fabric

Absolutely a dress NEEDS pockets 🙂 I’m really glad you founds some tips with this dress and that you enjoyed the video tutorial.
I can’t wait to see the next one Susan.

The dress is cute, with lots of hacking possibilities, and I would definitely make this pattern again! Not sure I am a fan of the pocket construction – in a shifty fabric the way they are drafted and sewn feels unnecessarily fiddly and, for me didn’t result in the cleanest finish. When I make the dress again I will also add strips of lightweight interfacing at the pocket openings.

Thanks Elena. Regards. The pockets the reason they are drafted that way it to hold them in place as lightweight fabric can bunch up and really spoil the lines of the dress but hey the beauty of making our own means we can change things. Enjoy the next one. D 😊
